Have you heard of “blackout blinds”? I bet you have. Well, if you don’t have them in your baby’s nursery, you might want to think about adding them soon.
Blackout blinds, for those of you who don’t know, are window treatments that block all sunlight from coming through them - hence the name “blackout.” These are great at keeping the sunlight from waking your baby up too early in the morning (especially during the summer months), and help you simulate nighttime darkness if you want your baby to go to sleep before the sun has gone down (again, especially helpful during the summer).
They’re reasonably cheap, and for the crucial extra hour or two of sleep a day that they might help you get, they’re a bargain! Do an internet search for “blackout blinds” and you’re sure to find lots of options.
