So, your baby’s not a car! But, “fill ‘er up” is the best way to describe this baby sleep tip.
One of the most basic ways to help your baby sleep is to make sure that s/he is comfortable. And, one of the easiest ways to make sure that your baby is comfortable - especially at night - is to make sure that s/he is not hungry, and has a full stomach. In fact, unless your baby has bad gas pains, the closer your baby sleeps to their last feeding, the longer they will probably sleep.
This is because for most babies - especially younger ones - one of the biggest reasons that they wake up is because they are hungry. So, load your baby up on food or milk or formula right before bedtime, and I bet you’ll notice your baby sleeping longer than before.
